Please click here to read a letter from Fr Simon and Miss Collins, headteacher of St Robert's School, outlining information for parents who are considering signing their children up for First Sacraments in St Robert's parish.

The First Holy Communion Programme will begin with a parents evening at 7pm on Tuesday 22nd April 2025 in the parish centre.  This will be an opportunity for all parents to attend a presentation on what the programme involves and on the work that they are expected to do with their children at home between the sessions.  The sacramental preparation lessons will take place after the 9am Mass until 11.30am on 27th April, 11th May and 18th May with your child receiving First Holy Communion at your usual mass time throughout June; please arrange with Fr Simon the mass date and time you would like your child to receive the sacrament for the first time.

A plenary mass, when all the children come together to be presented to the parish and receive their certificates will take place on Sunday 6th July.

If you are content to commit to bringing your child up in the practise of the faith and are prepared to be part of the worshipping community of St Roberts, and would like to enrol your child for sacramental preparation, please complete the form, which can be found in the back of church and hand to Fr Simon after Mass by 30th March 2025, attaching a copy of your child’s baptism certificate, reconciliation certificate and we also request a donation of £5 to cover the cost of the workbook. 

Please note if your child completed their First Reconciliation in 2025, your child will complete their First Holy Communion in 2026.

Confirmation 2025

Many congratulations to our children who received the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday 4th February 2025 from Bishop Marcus. We wish them every blessing on this milestone in their spiritual journey.
